Internships

fesmedia Africa offers internships for a maximum duration of three months

Depending on the current activities at the time of your internship, you will work individually or closely with office colleagues or project partners. You may also be involved in activities such as research, event planning and general administration. Interns may attend seminars and conferences, write reports and minutes, conduct thematic research as well as support the office staff in performing day-to-day business functions.

Candidates must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or be in the final stages of their studies by the beginning of the internship. They should have a demonstrated interest in media, development and political issues. Candidates are expected to be able to work independently and have good English communication, research and writing, and social media skills. German language skills are an advantage. The working language in the office is English.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. According to our regulations, please note that fesmedia will not bear further costs incurred, such as flights, visa fees, lodging, evaluation of tropical fitness, and insurances. These expenses must be carried by the applicant. We will however, provide advice regarding visa matters and accommodation.  As a general rule, the FES will pay a monthly allowance.
