African Media Barometer Namibia 2022

Namibia launches its 7th African Media Barometer Report.

The Namibian media sector, like all other industries, was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and came out of it battered and significantly transformed.

Namibia's legal and legislative framework protects freedom of expression and media freedom. In this regard, the Namibia AMB 2022 emphasizes that there are new actors in the broadcast industry and that there has been a significant improvement in the development of media unions like NAMPU.

On the other hand, this infographic summarizes some unfavorable developments and also gives a quick overview of important problems, results, and suggested next steps for Namibia's media environment reform.

Get a grasp of some of the key findings of the 2022 AMB report summarized in the infographic down below.
